Classes at Campbell County Media Central are free! We have equipment for you to use and check out for your television production. Playing your show on our channels is also free.

All classes offered are made by appointment. Call (859) 781-3495 to schedule a class. We work at your pace, but you should allow about two hours per class (unless otherwise noted). Please note the prerequisites for each class.

We offer the following classes:

Orientation
Covers facility mission, rules, and procedures. All producers must take orientation before any other class.
Prerequisites: none

Field Camera
Covers basic use and setup of cameras and tripods.
Prerequisites: Orientation

Field Audio
Covers audio equipment available for check-out.
Prerequisites: Orientation, field camera

Field Lighting
Covers basic lighting setup and safety.
Prerequisites: Orientation, field camera

Field Switcher
Covers setup and use of Tricaster portable studio kit.
Prerequisites: Orientation, field camera

Basic Editing – Premiere Pro
Introduction to editing in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Prerequisites: Orientation (Field camera recommended)

Photoshop 101
Covers the basic tools and features of Adobe Photoshop.
Prerequisites: Orientation

Studio 1 – Crew
Covers crew positions (camera, audio).
Prerequisites: Orientation

Studio 1 – Director
Covers switcher, intercoms, and more.
Prerequisites: Orientation, Studio 1 – Crew

Studio 2 – Crew
Covers additional crew positions (teleprompter, call-in system).
Prerequisites: Orientation, Studio 1 – Crew

Studio 2 – Director
Covers lighting, chroma-keying, and Uni-Set.
Prerequisites: Orientation, Studio 1 – Crew, Studio 1 – Director
